Christmas time is cookie time, and what could be nicer than the tempting smell of freshly baked cookies wafting through your home? But especially during the stressful Advent season, people often want simple recipes that still provide variety. The solution: A basic dough that can be made into seven different cookie variations! With biscuit rolls or rolled biscuits you can conjure up very different delicacies from just one dough – perfect for anyone who loves to fill their biscuit tin with colorful things but wants to save time. Whether chocolaty, nutty or fruity ā these recipes have something for every taste!
1 dough ā 7 cookie rolls
Base dough:
1kg wheat flour
300g sugar
2 tsp baking powder
500 g soft butter
4 Owner
2 TL Vanilleextrakt
Put all ingredients in a mixer and knead well. Then knead a little more with your hands and shape it into a ball. Wrap in cling film and place in the fridge for 3 hours.

1. Cookie roll: Salted caramel cookies with chocolate coating
- Knead the dough and cut an additional 10 cream caramel candies into small pieces and mix them in. Form everything into a roll of dough and then wrap it in cling film. Put it back in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then unwrap and cut into equal-sized slices. Bake at 180Ā°C for 20 minutes. Then melt approx. 100 g of couverture in a water bath and dip half of the biscuits there. Place on a rack and sprinkle a few pieces of coarse salt over the still liquid chocolate.

2. Cookie Roll: Hazelnut Chocolate Cookies
- Knead the dough and chop and mix in an additional 100 g of couverture. Form everything into a dough roll. Additionally chop 100 g of whole hazelnuts and roll the roll in them. Now wrap the roll in cling film. Put it back in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then unwrap and cut into equal-sized slices. Bake at 180Ā°C for 20 minutes.

3. Cookie roll: Orange poppy seed cookies
- Knead the dough and mix in an additional 4 teaspoons of orange juice. Then roll out the dough (if necessary add a little more flour here) and spread the rolled out dough with approx. 1/2 pack of poppy seed fix. Then roll it up again and wrap it in cling film. Put it back in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then unwrap and cut into equal-sized slices. Bake at 180Ā°C for 20 minutes. Melt some couverture and use a spoon to quickly pour the liquid couverture over the cookies in a zigzag pattern. Grate some organic orange peel onto the still liquid chocolate.

4. Cookie roll: Matcha cookies
- Knead the dough and mix in an additional 2 teaspoons of matcha powder. Form everything into a roll of dough and then wrap it in cling film. Put it back in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then unwrap and cut into equal-sized slices. Bake at 180Ā°C for 20 minutes. Then melt approx. 100 g of white couverture in a water bath and dip half of the biscuits there.

5. Cookie Roll: Beetroot Cranberry Cookies
- Knead the dough and mix in an additional 4 teaspoons of beetroot juice and 50 g of dried cranberries. Form everything into a roll of dough and then wrap it in cling film. Put it back in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then unwrap and cut into equal-sized slices. Bake at 180Ā°C for 20 minutes.

6. Cookie roll: carrot and apricot cookies with amaranth
- Knead the dough and mix in an additional 4 teaspoons of carrot juice and 50 g of dried apricots. Form everything into a roll of dough, roll it in approx. 100 g amaranth and then wrap it in cling film. Put it back in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then unwrap and cut into equal-sized slices. Bake at 180Ā°C for 20 minutes.

- Knead the dough and mix in an additional 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Form everything into a roll of dough and then wrap it in cling film. Put it back in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then unwrap and cut into equal-sized slices. Bake at 180Ā°C for 20 minutes.
