The Advent season without Christmas stars? Hardly imaginable! Whether at the window, on the fir tree or as a table decoration – stars are simply part of Christmas. It is particularly nice when you are tinkered yourself. In this article I will show you how you can easily make Christmas stars out of paper – perfect as a cheap and creative Christmas decoration.

Why do Christmas stars tinker?

Homemade stars are not only sustainable, but also individual. With different papers, patterns and colors you can design your decoration according to your taste. In addition, handicrafts are a nice tradition during Advent – whether alone with a cup of tea or together with children.


3D star folds made of paper for Christmas

Instructions

7 Cut out of paper of the same size. I used the dimensions 7×7 cm.

The square diagonally fold. Then open again.

Now fold the two opposite sides to the folded center line so that it creates a wrap shape.

Fold the tip down so that a triangle becomes a triangle from the dragon shape.

The two newly created corners fold to the middle, so that a dragon form is created again.

These wings lyse back so that glue can be distributed on the surface and then fold the corners back to the middle.

The form “fluffy” so that a 3D jacket is created. Repeat these steps 4x

Then glue all the patches together on the smaller surfaces.
