Instructions
Slowly melt the butter in a saucepan.
If desired, mix the butter with salt, chopped herbs or chilli flakes.
Provide a small glass or a heat -resistant shape.
Place the wick in the middle. If you use a beeswax candle as a wick, carefully remove the wax until only the cotton thread remains.
Pour the spiced, liquid butter into the mold.
Place the butter candle in the fridge for at least 2 hours or for 30 minutes until it is solid.
Loosen the butter candle from the mold, light it and enjoy with fresh bread. Attention: Never let butter candle burn unattended!
Tip: If you use a more elaborate silicone shape, it is advisable to have the butter hardened in the freezer beforehand so that it is more stable when solving the shape and nothing breaks off.

Tips for your butter candle
Choose the right wick: Use a wick made of untreated cotton or use a beeswax candle, the wax layer of which you remove beforehand. No synthetic or chemical treated wick must be used!
Do not heat butter too much: Butter that is too hot can lose its structure and separates into fat and whey.
Eat butter plug properly
As soon as the butter candle burns, it slowly begins to melt. Wait a few minutes until a small amount of liquid butter has collected on the edge. Now you can dip and enjoy them with a piece of fresh bread, baguette or cracker in the melted butter. Alternatively, you can paint the butter on your bread with a knife as soon as it is soft enough. Make sure not to let the butter candle burn unattended and delete the flame in good time if you have enough melted butter.

See you then. Your Laura
