Last summer my Ninja Creami video went through the ceiling on Tikkok and I quickly noticed: the interest in this ice cream maker is huge! No wonder, because who does not want to spoon creamy, homemade ice cream in no time at hot temperatures – without any additives and with your own favorite ingredients?

But is the investment really worth it? Which recipes are best possible? And what do you have to consider when buying? In this blog post I share my honest Ninja Creami experiences and recipes – Including tips, frequent questions and simple recipes for the summer of 2025. I say it directly: Yes – if you like to be creative, eat ice cream more often and know what’s in your food. The Ninja Creami is No classic ice machinebut rather an “ice magic wand” that turns frozen mixtures into creamy ice, sorbets or protein creams.

The biggest plus is the consistency: the ice cream becomes incredibly creamy, without an ice machine with a cooling pack or elaborate preparation. Whether protein ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt or classic vanilla ice cream-you can choose the ingredients exactly according to your taste and needs. Vegans, sugar -free or protein -rich variants are also easy.

2. Tips for perfect results with the Ninja Creami

So that your ice cream not only becomes delicious, but really creamy, I have put together my best tips on what you should consider in the Ninja Creami. These are based on my own experiences and the feedback on my community.

1. Really let the mixture freeze for 24 hours

Even if the anticipation is great: the Creami needs a completely frozen mass to achieve the perfect consistency. If the content is not frozen throughout, the ice can become too fluid or grainy. Make sure the cup at least 24 hours flat in the freezer stands so that there is no patches in the mug.

Extra tip: Take the cup about 10 minutes before spinning From the freezer and leave it at room temperature. This means that the ice on the edge can detach a little, which prevents too much crystallized edge ends up in the finished ice. The result becomes significantly more even and creamy.

2. Use the re-spin function

Some mixes need a second round to get really creamy – especially low -sugar or protein -rich recipes. If your ice cream seems a bit crumbly after the first spinning process, just press on „Re-Spin“. The consistency usually becomes perfect.

3. Leave some air in the cup at the top

Do not fully fill the cup to the edge. About 1–1.5 cm air upwards are ideal. When freezing, the mass extends a bit, and the Creami later needs space when spinning to process the ice optimally. So you also avoid that the lid can be opened heavily or that ice crystals form on the edge.

4. Mix the ingredients well beforehand

No matter whether yogurt, protein powder or pureed fruits: make sure that your basic mixture is well stirred before freezing. The more even the consistency, the better the ice will later be. Especially with powder or sweeteners, it is worth stirring the mass with a whisk or mixer.

5. Experiment with extras – but only after spinning

If you want to fold out chocolate pieces, cookies, nuts or caramel sauce, use the “Extras” -Modus – but only after the first (or second) spindle passage. So the pieces remain completely and are evenly distributed without being grinded.

  • How exactly does the Ninja Creami work?
    → The Creami crushes frozen masses with the help of a vertically rotating knife to creamy ice. Similar to a high -performance mixer, but especially for ice cream.

  • How long do you have to freeze the mixture?
    → at least 24 hours, ideally at -18 ° C or colder so that the consistency is right when spinning.

  • Can you eat ice cream immediately after freezing?
    → No, the frozen mass must first be processed in the cream. The ice only becomes creamy through the spinning.

  • What to do if the ice is too firm or crumbly?
    → Use the “Re-Spin” function. If necessary, add 1–2 tablespoon of liquid (e.g. milk) and spin again.

  • What is the difference to the classic ice machine?
    → The Creami does not actively freeze. The mass is frozen beforehand and then processed creamy. Conventional ice machines stir the mass during freezing.

  • How do I clean the Ninja Creami?
    → The cups, lids and the knife are dishwasher. The machine itself can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

  • How loud is the creami spiders?
    → It is relatively loud (comparable to a mixer). It is best to use during the day.

  • How big is the difference between the Ninja Creami and the Ninja Creami Deluxe?
    → The Deluxe offers more modes (e.g. slushie, frappé) and has larger cups (approx. 1.4 l instead of 470 ml). Those who experiment a lot benefit from the larger range of functions.
