Do you know this slurry-imprisoned feeling when you are traveling with your child on a full playground, in the zoo or when traveling-and ask yourself what if it suddenly moves away from you? Me too. That’s why I found a simple, beautiful and above all practical solution: a homemade one SOS bracelet for children With telephone number. It is colorful, happy and gives security in an emergency – for you and your child. In this post I show you step by step how you can easily make the bracelet yourself and what you should pay attention to. A little DIY with a big impact!
Make the SOS bracelet for children yourself-the idea behind it
Children are curious, adventurous – and sometimes faster away than you can see. A brief moment of carelessness can be enough, especially in busy places such as amusement parks, in markets or in the holiday destination, and the child has disappeared from the field of vision.
A SOS-ARMBAND my phone number In an emergency, ensures that your child can be brought back to you quickly. Foreign adults or helpers can easily read the number and contact you immediately.
The best thing about it: you can do the bracelet Simply tinker yourself – with a few pretty pearls, an elastic band and some creativity. Children love to design their own bracelet – so a security assistant also becomes a great piece of jewelry.

Instructions
Think about which number you want to write on the bracelet. It is usually the mobile phone number of a parent. Important: No country area code necessary if you are in Germany.
Miss your child’s wrist and add about 1–2 cm scope. Cut the rubber band accordingly.
Now it’s getting creative! First thread the numbers of the phone number. You can put colorful decorative pearls in between.
If everything is right, make a double knot and tighten it. You can also put a drop of transparent handicraft adhesive on the knot so that nothing slips. Of course you can also knot a closure. This makes the bracelet easier to put on and take off.

When and where a SOS bracelet makes sense
Such a bracelet is not only intended for trips or big excursions. Here are a few examples of when it can be particularly helpful:
✔ F AUSTRUCTION PARK or ZOO
✔ vacation trip or flight
✔ City festivals, markets or concerts
✔ Shopping center or Ikea
✔ School income or daycare festival
✔ Large family meeting or children’s birthday party
Is that really safe?
Of course, an SOS bracelet does not replace supervision, but it can make the decisive difference in an emergency. It is important that your child knows that the bracelet is allowed to show someone when help.
Tip: Explain to your child who can trust (e.g. police officers, parents with children or cashiers: inside). The bracelet not only becomes a piece of jewelry, but a real companion in everyday life.
Why I love it
I love Diys, who are not only pretty, but also useful in everyday life with children. This SOS bracelet has already served us well on several trips-and I have the feeling that my daughter is proud. For them it is a colorful accessory for me, a quiet security anchor for me.
And honestly: how often do you have the chance to combine security and creativity so wonderfully?
