Hello hello my loves π
Even if we are already in mid-January, I would still like to take this opportunity to all of you Happy New Year 2023 with lots of creativity and great moments wish ππ
Well, which one of you has been around for so long that you remember this post DIY Typo Bild + my problem with the 1st week of the year? You can already read a bit from the title what I’m getting at. That’s when I wrote about it creative holewhich I feel like every year π
I’m full of ideas for autumn, Advent/Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I feel like I can only implement 10% of what’s buzzing around in my head…
And suddenly here we are – it’s January… And I’m falling into a creative hole. It’s still the dead of winter. It’s still cold and it’s still getting dark early outside.
But actually I’m ready to welcome spring: warmth, sunshine, blooming flowers and plants, colors – where are you?
Unfortunately, spring is still taking its time… So, what can I offer thematically here on the blog? winter projects? Nah, I’m not in the mood for that π
Spring? Actually a bit too early…
But actually I found a topic for myself that I can stand behind completely. Namely birthday!! ππ
birthdays are very little interested in seasons and weather. There are always π
And since I usually make and show more feminine birthday cards, I thought it was time for a more neutral card – which really everyone can get. No matter what gender and what age π
We take a blank folding card. On the front we slit 4 lines. Shape these and then push the candle and match through these slots. Sound easy? Is simple! And the cool thing – the card has a wow effect despite its simplicity π€©
Step-by-step instructions: DIY birthday card with a candle and a match
You need:
Folding card blank kraft paper [*]
pen + ruler
Cutter [*] + Matte
Pens/stamps/stickers to design
match
candle silver [*]gold [*]rainbow [*]
-
- Draw 4 parallel lines for match + candle
- here are all the lines: 2.5 cm long
-
- drive along the lines with a cutter (do not forget to put the mat underneath)
-
- Design the card according to your mood with the pen/stamp/sticker/label maker
-
- Push candle + match through the slots + position
And your simple but stylish card with wow effect is done π€©
If you want to use the birthday card to leave a few nice, personal lines – then make sure to use a folding card π
I also cut the silver birthday candles in half with the cutter. I sharpened the lower half of the candle with an old sharpener, so that I made 2 out of 1 long candle π
And with that, I say goodbye to my first DIY contribution for 2023 and look forward to many more projects with you π Cheers!
