I go on to the #diyyeanarchallenge, which I organize every month with Laura from Trytrytry!

Today we devote ourselves to the small, sweet ideas at our creative challenge – and support our sponsor Trodat with the creative mini. Our topic is “small but Oho!”

In keeping with the topic, I thought about a cute little idea for a creative money gift: a great money gift cake that I made from a cardboard box. I embellished the cake with the Creative Mini stamps from Trodat.

About the Diyyeanarchallenge

Every month, Laura von Trytrytry and Lisa von Meinfeen dust with the #diyyEARACHALLESGE stand on a new DIY challenge on a given topic. Our month sponsor sends us the same material-and each one can come up with a DIY idea from the same material-the community then coordinates who wins and has better implemented the topic!

Every month you can win the DIY package with which we were creative by voting on Instagram who won. It is very worth a look at Instagram, because today there is a set of the great creative mini stamps.

There you will always find our ideas as a DIY video.

About the Creative Mini

The Creative Mini is a creative stamp that is available in 7 different versions on different topics. All 7 variants each have 12 print motifs, which are 5mm high.

By turning the cog on the edge of the stamp you can change the motif.

These 7 variants are available from the Creative Mini – all have 12 different motifs on certain topics:

  • Creative Mini in Pastelllila: Bullet Journal Motifs and Organization (don’t forget, to do, idea, …)
  • Creative mini in pastel pink: nice messages (think of yourself, you are great, good luck, for you, …)
  • Creative mini in pastel blue: motifs for teachers (representation, free time, conference, …)
  • Creative mini in pastel cream: decorative strips (hearts, stars, arrows, …)
  • Creative Mini in pastel green: congratulations and occasions (congratulate, all love, happiness & glitter, …)
  • Creative Mini in White: Engelspost (you can do it, desired filler, Engelspost, …)
  • Creative mini in black: bad sayings (I am Done, bad luck, blablabla, …)

The creative mini should not be missing in any DIY room-you can decorate cards, gifts and all possible creative projects with sweet messages.

It is also just pretty with the great pastel colors – I think perfectly to give away, I think!

Of course, he is also used in the creative project, which I am presenting to you today-I show you how you do a cake gift Easy yourself.

This is how it works: make a cake gift yourself

  • trodat Creative Mini
  • The piston tag
  • A round cardboard box with lid
  • Colorful paper in your desired color
  • white paper
  • yellow paper
  • 2 paper straws
  • Banknotes
  • Glue & scissors

Step 1: glue cardboard box with paper

The cardboard box serves as the basis for your cake. Allow them all around with colored paper of your choice. I chose pink.

Step 2: Cut out of paper icing

Next, you cut the icing for the lid out of paper. Make sure that the paper is long enough that the paper fits around the lid. You can draw a drop effect with the pencil or cut off directly.

The icing made of white paper is then glued all around the lid of the box.

Step 3: Designing the banderole

Now you cut a banderole (1 – 2 cm) out of a colorful paper, which also fits around the box. You can then beautify the banderole with the Creative Mini from Trodat. I have changed various motifs that fit well with the topic of “giving”.

Step 4: Tinker candles from straws

Now cut the paper straws to the desired length. Make sure that the straws are minimally longer than a banknote.

Then you wrap the straws with a banknote and fix it with a small adhesive strip.

This not only looks cute, it is also a great surprise!

I wrapped two out of four straws with banknotes – but of course you can also implement the gift without any money and only use the cake as packaging.

Step 5: Cut the flame out of paper

Now you can cut four small drops of yellow paper with scissors. These are the flames of the candles. You put them in a straw each. You can fix them with a glue point.

Step 6: attach candles

Now make holes in the cover of the cardboard box with the scissors – depending on how many “candles” you want to use.

Now put the money candles into the cover of the cardboard box – they hold on their own or can be fixed with a little glue. Your cake looks really festive!

From colorful paper you can now cut sprinkles that you stick to the paper sugar effusion.

And of course there is also room for a nice little thing in the box – for example for the creative mini.

Your beautiful cake gift is ready.

I love packing gifts creatively – giving not only fun, but also stays remembered for a long time. It is much nicer when the gift itself is a surprise, right? And the creative mini is perfect to make such beautiful gifts even more personal.
