Tealight with glowing affirmations
A year ago I came up with this tea light with insertable affirmation cards, in which the respective saying then lights up in the heart. Now I have revised my print file and, as some people requested, I also added a beautiful gift box for the affirmation cards, so that you can use this DIY as a great gift for your loved ones. In my print file you will find four sayings for each of the categories “Love”, “Trust”, “Strength”, “Acceptance” and “Relaxation” – but there are also blank affirmation cards that you can write on yourself.
In order for the cards to fit optimally, you need a glass with a height of approx. 8.5 cm. You can easily adjust the length of the band with the felt depending on the circumference. The IKEA JÄMLIK scented jar, for example, works great, I always have a few of those left over that I’ve used 😉
Material list:
- Print file affirmation cards: CLICK
- Glass tea light approx. 8.5 cm high (e.g. IKEA JÄMLIK)
- I found my tea light at Soestrene Grene
- Felt plate cream, 3 mm thick: CLICK
- Leftover green felt (thin felt)
- Kraft paper without grain 230 g: CLICK
- or kraft paper with grain 230 g: CLICK
- Tracing paper about 80-85 g for the printer, I have this: CLICK
- golden Sharpie
- Ruler & craft knife for scoring the box edges
- Scissors
- Glue stick and hot glue
