Instructions
Melt the leftover white candles in a heatproof container in a water bath. Make sure that the wax does not get too hot (around 60-70 °C is ideal).
Break the red crayons into small pieces and stir them into the melted wax until a uniform red color is formed. The more crayon you add, the more intense the color will be.
Carefully dip the top third of the white candlesticks into the red wax. Slightly rotate the candle to spread the wax evenly. Pull them out slowly and let them dry. Repeat the process to create a bold layer of color.
Use the white candle pen to draw small dots on the red wax layer. These are supposed to represent the typical fly agaric dots. Allow the dots to dry thoroughly.
Cut small tags out of kraft paper. Use the white gel liner to write loving messages such as “Lucky Light” or “For You”.
Attach the charms to the candle with glitter thread. Wrap the yarn several times around the candle and tie it into a decorative bow.
If you make several lucky lights, you can give them away in small sets – a great idea for New Year’s Eve parties or as a thank you gift for hosts.
