Shapeless gift? Make a bag out of wrapping paper!
In fact, making a gift bag is extremely easy. All you need is some wrapping paper or construction paper. With just a few steps and for any size, you can quickly and easily fold a gift bag from a sheet of paper. In the following instructions I will explain to you step by step how it works.
This is how you fold a bag made of wrapping paper:
Instructions
Cut out a rectangle of wrapping paper and place the blank side in front of you.
Fold the edge over 3/4 of the way.
Fold the other side toward the center so they overlap slightly. Then glue the pages together.
Now fold the bottom opening up and press the corners down like in picture 4.
Fold the top and bottom edges inwards so that they overlap slightly. Fix this with tape.
Fold the edges inwards again, as shown in picture 6.
Now open the gift bag and press the edges slightly inwards, as shown in picture 7.
The bag can now be filled with gifts.
Fold the top edge back and forth in a zigzag pattern.
Now fan out this edge and close it with a ribbon.
The wrapping paper bag is ready.
Make a bag out of wrapping paper, construction paper, newspaper or kraft paper
A big advantage of this technique is that you can make the gift bag out of almost any material. Regardless of the size of your piece of paper, the principle remains the same. I deliberately didn’t give exact measurements so that you can experiment for yourself to find out the optimal size for your gift. After you’ve made your first bag, you’ll quickly get a feel for it. In addition to wrapping paper, you can also use construction paper, newspaper or kraft paper.
