Milk Capirotada Recipe Step by step
Ingredients
- 12 French bread slices (old bread can be used)
- 3 cups of milk
- Frying oil
- 1 cinnamon sprig
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 cup condensed milk
- 1/2 cup raisin grapes
- 1/2 cup of peanuts (peanuts)
- 1/2 cup of grated coconut
- 1/2 cup of fillet almonds
- 200 gr of panela or piloncillo (optional)
- 2 smell nails
- 100 gr of cotija cheese (can be replaced by Parmesan cheese or feta)
How to make the hood step by step
- Use old bread or, in any case, dry the fetas to the sun or oven well. Fry in abundant oil.
- Heat the milk and condensed milk next to the piloncillo, the cinnamon and the smell nails. Do not allow it to boil. Remove a little out of the mixture and incorporate them into the yolks. Stir well.
- Dump the yolks in the mixture again, while stirring with rods until it boils and thickens a little. Remove from heat.
- Accommodate the slices of fried bread in a source suitable for oven and bathe them with the milks mixture, sprinkle with nuts, coconut and raisins. Let stand about 20 minutes so that bread slices are well embedded.
You can make several layers, as preferred. - Add the cheese in pieces, cover the source with aluminum foil and bring to a preheated oven over medium heat.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until all the layers of bread are moistened. Remove the aluminum foil and raise the oven temperature. Cook over 5 more minutes, until the cheese is brown.
You can eat cold or hot, it is delicious in both ways. Enjoy!
