It’s less common to make pizza these days, but the other week I made a really delicious pan pizza, the delicious taste of which came from leeks.💚
Leek pizza
On top of the pizza
- 1 leek, finely sliced
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 100 gr of feta cheese
- 3 tablespoons of pesto paste
- 7-8 cherry tomatoes, sliced
- 40 g grated parmesan
- top with pizza seasoning and paprika powder

The leek is prepared by frying the leek cut into small pieces (white + green part) in a pan in olive oil, on low heat, until the leek is completely soft and colored.
After I had spread the pizza dough (thinly) on the baking paper covering the baking sheet, I first spread the feta + pesto paste that I mixed into a paste. This is the so-called white pizza without tomato sauce. Spread the cooled leek mixture on top of the paste, add pieces of cherry tomatoes and grated parmesan. The spices are sprinkled on top. The pizza in the picture also shows melted cheese, so I added a few pieces of yellow cheese, like Edam, which was a mistake, because this pizza doesn’t need that.

I baked the pizza in my mini oven at a temperature of about 250 degrees, for 11 minutes, but the baking time depends on the oven. Leek is an absolutely wonderful filling for this kind of pizza🍕
