Spring knocks on the door – and with it the desire for color and creativity comes! So why not take up the happy dopamine decor trend and bring a fresh wind into your own apartment? A homemade flower mirror made of modeling mass is the perfect DIY project to celebrate the beginning of spring. Eberhard Farber also thought, which is why they equipped me with their products for this idea. The playful, blossom -shaped frame turns a simple mirror a real highlight and immediately ensure a good mood. Whether pastel -like or in bright colors – everything is allowed here that makes you happy. The idea for my creative spring DIY came about as part of the #diyyea Archaalenge 2025.

DIY for the “Dopamine Decor” trend

Lisa from meinfeenstaub.com and I have considered a handicraft idea for the topic of “spring” for the second month in the new year. We all wait for the days to be longer and that we can finally enjoy the spring bloomers. In order to shorten the waiting time a bit, I decorated a mirror with pastel-colored clay flowers, which fits perfectly with the challenge topic.

The Dopamine Decor Trend rely on colors, playful shapes and striking designs that are intended to deliberately trigger feelings of happiness. Instead of neutral tones, living color combinations, exciting patterns and personal decorative elements dominate. The aim is to create spaces that radiate energy and joie de vivre. It is not just about aesthetic decisions, but also about the conscious design of an environment that promotes well -being and creativity. Perfect for everyone who wants to give your home with happy accents an individual touch. So perfect for the challenge topic and my DIY idea. For everyone who now has a few question marks and imagine “What kind of challenge?” – no problem. I have summarized the most important points of the challenge for you.

#DIYYearChallenge 2025

Lisa and I face a creative challenge for a year a month – the #diyyean areater. We implement a DIY on a given topic and with the support of a sponsor. With the materials of the sponsor, we become creative and publish our results on our blogs and social media channels. Our followers can win great prices of the sponsor by voting on the favorite under the Instagram post.

Monatst topic January: beginning of spring

We are particularly pleased that we were able to win Eberhard Faber with its huge range of handicrafts in February as a partner for our challenge. Because the many different materials that are available in the range of Eberhard Faber make every DIY heart beat faster and our action. From the modeling mass, the school painting colors and the metallic markers by Eberhard Faber, I made sound flowers in pastel colors and thus decorated a mirror. Be sure to take a look at how Lisa interpreted the topic.
