Today I continue with my little Lemon Curd series! In the last few weeks I have already shown you my basic recipe for lemon curd and a delicious lemon dream dessert. And today we have the delicious lemony dessert: Lemon Curd Mousse!

My favorite desserts are the ones I don’t have to lift a finger for during the day. This Lemon Curd Mousse is a great example of this, because it has to be in the fridge for at least four hours to get the perfect consistency. So you can also prepare them the day before in a relaxed manner and then have no more stress at all when you want to serve them. Here comes the delicious recipe.

Lemon curd mousse ingredients – you need them

The amount is enough for a casserole dish or several small glasses.

  • 1 large glass of lemon curd (according to this sure-fire lemon curd basic recipe – alternatively you can also buy the lemon curd ready-made)
  • 3 Owner
  • 120 grams of sugar
  • 500 Gramm Mascarpone
  • 250 grams of cottage cheese

First prepare the lemon curd recipe according to the instructions and let the lemon curd cool down well. Then separate the eggs and beat the egg whites very stiff. Mix the sugar, mascarpone and cottage cheese with the egg yolks in a large bowl. Finally, carefully fold in the egg white.

Now you can alternately layer the mousse and lemon curd in glasses and then chill for at least four hours. White chocolate shavings also taste good with this.

Tip: After folding in the egg white, you can also fold the lemon curd into the mascarpone mixture and then chill the whole thing. Also tastes delicious. However, I prefer it in layers, because then the lemony taste really comes out.
