Carrot cake always works. But it is also a suitable cake for Easter.
Carrot Cake with cream cheese topping

Ingredients for the carrot cake
- 400 g grated carrots
- 160 g Butter
- 200 grams of sugar
- 200 grams of flour
- 1½ tsp cinnamon
- 4 Owner
- 1 ½ TL Backpulver
For the topping
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 100 g Butter
- 100 grams of cream cheese
- Grated carrots for garnish
This is how you bake the carrot cake
If you cannot buy grated carrots, you should first peel and grate the carrots.
Then it’s time for the dough. Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat or 160 °C circulating air.
Now mix the soft butter with the sugar until creamy. Then add the eggs and cinnamon. Then sift in the flour and baking powder and mix well. Finally, stir the grated carrots into the batter.
Line a baking pan with parchment paper and fill in the batter. Let the cake bake for about 50 to 60 minutes and then take it out to cool completely.
Meanwhile, prepare the topping. First you stir the icing sugar into the soft butter. Only then can the cream cheese be added, otherwise it will become liquid. Place the cream in the fridge until the cake is ready and cold. Then you can put the topping over it and decorate the cake.
