Double Chocolate Muffins – Basic chocolate muffins recipe with oil instead of butter

I had a pack of white chocolate chips and a pack of milk chocolate chips and used them for the recipe – but you can also easily use nuts or raspberries. Two weeks ago I showed you Double Chocolate Cookies. Here comes the basic recipe.

This is what you need – Double Chocolate Muffins Recipe

Double Chocolate Muffins – Basic recipe for chocolate muffins with oil instead of butter in three easy steps

Step 1 – Mix sugar, eggs and liquid ingredients

In the first step, beat the sugar with the two eggs until creamy and then stir in the oat milk, oil and vanilla extract.

Step 2 – mix with dry ingredients

In the next step, put the flour, baking powder, baking cocoa, salt and the two types of chocolate in a bowl, mix everything well and then stir the mixture into the dough. Tip: The muffins will be particularly nice if you reserve a small amount of chocolate chips and sprinkle them on the dough in the last step.

Step 3 – Bake chocolate muffins

Preheat the oven to 165 degrees and divide the dough into 12 muffin cases in a muffin tray. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips over the top and then bake the chocolate muffins for about 20 minutes. Every oven bakes differently, so feel free to test with a stick to check if the muffins are done.

Yummy, already done! Let the chocolate muffins cool on a rack and then enjoy!
