Gift idea pendant with children’s pictures made of shrink film

You can get creative with shrink wrap. We used it to make beautiful gift tags and have already tested the best way to print them. You can also use it to make nice little gifts with your children and then give them away as bag or keychains.

Self-painted pictures of children are always a nice gift idea. But you can also give them in a slightly more interesting form than a simple piece of paper. Such as a small key ring.

The material for the keychains is made of shrink film

This is how you make the pendants with children’s pictures out of shrink film

Cut out small pendant shapes from the foil. When it comes to size, keep in mind that they will shrink to about 40% of their size. Then make a hole in one corner with the hole punch. This will allow you to thread the ribbon for the key ring later.

Now the children can use the pens to draw on the rough side of the foil.

Tip: You can also add a small greeting or the child’s name. The smooth side will later be the slightly prettier side, where the colors come out even more beautifully. So you could try writing in mirror writing.

Preheat the oven to 160°C. Then place the foils on a baking sheet and leave them in the oven for 6 to 8 minutes. Then carefully take the hot foil out of the oven with a kitchen spatula or baking gloves and let it cool down.

They are now firm, small and thick. As soon as they are cool, you can thread the pendants through the hole.

The cute little keychain for grandma and grandpa is ready.

This idea is also a suitable activity for a child’s birthday party. I just bought a new sheet of shrink wrap for planning my daughter’s 6th birthday.
