If you’ve been reading along here for a while, then you already know: For me, a birthday cake has to be relatively easy to make, but still delicious. I’m just not patient enough for super elaborate motif cakes. Nevertheless, my kids can always wish for a motto for their birthday. So here is a super simple Spiderman birthday cake for you.

Super easy Spiderman birthday cake made with brownies and Spiderman figures

For this cake, I made a kind of city backdrop out of brownies very simply by cutting the brownies into very small pieces and stacking them. Then I placed store-bought Spiderman figures on the cake and cut out the birthday number from old packaging. So the cake is really ready in no time and the little figures are still in play here. If you invite children to the birthday party, each child can simply choose a character and take it home. The set I bought comes with small holders that you can put the figures in.

Bake Spiderman Birthday Cake

Put the butter in a metal bowl together with the chocolate types and let them melt over a water bath. Then mix them well with both types of sugar and the vanilla flavoring and let the mixture cool down significantly before continuing. This is important because otherwise the heat will set the egg in the next step before it is even baked.

Stir the eggs into the cooled mixture and mix the remaining dry ingredients together. Then stir this into the chocolate mixture. Don’t stir for too long.

The brownies then have to go into the preheated oven at 175 degrees top and bottom heat for about 20 minutes. They should still be nice and soft in the middle.

Decorate Spiderman birthday cake

Let the brownies cool completely and then cut them into small blocks. You then simply stack them on a plate. You can use small wooden skewers to keep them from falling over. Then I simply placed the various Spiderman figures on the cake and cut out a 5 from the Spiderman packaging and placed it on the cake – done!
